The JRC was invited to present at this conference on research activities being conducted at the EU level on security matters. During the second part of the Conference, which discussed how to meet the challenges of terrorism, the ERNCIP Office presented the current work underway on the Thematic Network on Critical Energy Infrastructure (TNCEIP), on the EU Incident and Threat Information Sharing Centre (ITIS-EUC), and on ERNCIP.

The conference, organised by Police Scotland, was very well supported, mainly from security agencies from the UK, with Australian, Canadian and US participants. Other speakers included the Justice Minister from the Scottish Government, the Chief Constable of Police Scotland, the Deputy Director of the UK Security Service, and the Deputy Under-secretary for Science and Technology of DHS, US.
