Meeting on 25-26 September 2013 in Brussels
This sub-group met in secure premises to review the latest proposals produced by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) for the Common Testing Methodologies for the EDS (Explosives Detection System) and LEDS (Liquids Explosives Detection System). The CTMs were reviewed against a number of criteria, including consistency of style and structure to other EU testing documentary standards, with the aim of validating the ECAC CTMs as suitable EU-harmonised conformity assessments for Explosives Detection and Liquids Explosives Detection systems designed for use in aviation security. The feedback derived from this meeting on these CTMs will be provided to ECAC.
