Applied Biometrics for the security of Critical Infrastructure
The primary purpose of the 2nd meeting was to agree the Group’s input into the CEN TC 224 working group 18 meeting, scheduled for the following day, on the new proposals for standards for the use of biometrics in physical access control, which were due to be balloted at the next meeting. It was noted that these proposals for standards make specific reference to the EPCIP Directive 2008/114 and the European Programme for CIP. Also, comments received on the current draft of the ISO standard for Biometric Systems, Facial Recognition from CCTV, were discussed, in preparation for the next ISO meeting in January 2016.
