The primary purpose of this meeting of the robotics sub-group was to observe the trials of robot-carried detectors of radiological substances against scenarios previously established by the thematic group. Around ten robots were tested within a controlled warehouse environment, wherein different types of radiological sources were hidden, along with other items to be discovered by the detectors being carried by remotely-controlled robots. The members discussed the learning from the trials and identified additional parameters for future trials.
It was also agreed that the sub-group members will take the opportunity to make all competitors aware of the forthcoming list-mode data format standard, which had been incepted by the previous work of this Group.
