Chemical and Biological (CB) Risks to Drinking Water
The meeting on this TA took place in Ispra on the 11 February 2013. The meeting’s main objective was to elaborate the Group’s work programme, which includes reviews of, inter alia, the following issues: sensors to monitor water quality; monitoring techniques for biological contaminants; techniques used for biofilm detection; and methods for the rapid identification of pathogens in water samples. The next meeting will be held on 23-24 May at the JRC, Ispra, to discuss the first finalized review, which is about screening techniques and methods for rapid identification and quantification of unknown chemical contaminations.
Next meeting of the Thematic Group is planned for 23-24 May 2013.
